Parducci
True Grit Reserve Mendocino Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark ruby in color with a wide purple rim.
Fruity nose of blackberries, currants, plums, wood, dust, earth, light vegetables, spices, black pepper, cloves, acetone and bell pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity and long legs.
Dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, red currants, oak, tobacco, herbs, spices, vegetables, bitter chocolates, peppercorn and bitter herbs.
Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and black pepper.
This Mendocino County Cabernet Sauvignon needs 2 hours to open up properly. Very tart right out of the bottle. Easy drinking with mild complexity and a nice mouthfeel.
Not balanced yet, but it is enjoyable, especially with food.
Needs a year or two in the bottle to mature.
89 points Wine Enthusiasts. Aged on 35% new French oak for 6 months.
I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
14.5% alcohol by volume.
$20.
