The, beautifull, dark colour is a bit deceptive because the wine isnt that strong tasting. It smells quite spicy and also has a nice spicy taste that isnt to strong. Mouth feel is nice and the alcohol packs a nice punch. Can be drunk by itself but will also go well with the standard red wine pairings.

On balance, 2020 has been a tough year for wine: continuing fires in California and a pandemic that brings us all down is tough to say the very least. At least there are bright spots to lift you up in a down year: this years Beaujolais Nouveau crop brings it well with that young French meets Napa vibe in fruitiness, rounded out by a smooth complexity that bodes well for this years harvest! Just open these up and enjoy - nice aroma on the nose and the beginning shoots of complexity and variations evident on the palette front stone to tobacco to goodness to greatness that is the French terroir all evident in sneak peaks in this glass...cheers!

Um, what can I say. It is what it is. It tastes better whilst watching Amelia, which I am doing right now.. This is one of the better Nouveaus I have encountered. Very fruity and youthful. It is a fun way to celebrate the season though.
