Day two starts to open up & get more expressive. Rather Loire- like but more rounded & broader palate. Waxy white fruits & a bit of guava paste. Medium acid, not high toned. Needs food to play off of.

Mar 22nd, 2023Love this! Intensely aromatic, salt, marine chalkiness - like ground up seashells! Nice texture from the lees without becoming too round. Delicious!!

Xarel-Lo is a serious grape that carries its terroir well. Penedes gives this wine a unmissable chalky note reminiscent of Chablis. Wonderful apple fruit and white flowers throughout too. Delicious.
