07' Parallel Estates Cabernet 26 months in 100% new oak. They only made this 100% Cabernet for three years. Sourced from a few "selected" rows from the vineyard.
Certainly have noticed a lot of these 2007 wines that were not showing as well a few years back, really starting to shine now, this is a prime example. Brick red in color. This is a classic. Luscious black fruits to it. Nice soft tannins. Pop, pour & drink! No need to wait much longer to enjoy them. Another Philippe Melka wine.

This is the kind of Cab everyone wants to make and few succeed at accomplishing. Incredibly balanced, still has great fruit and awesome acidity. I want to drink it all day

Jul 3rd, 2015This wine is in a good spot right now. Don't think that any more bottle aging would do this one any better. The nose is volcanic, blackberry, medium to full bodied. The middle of this wine develops a little bit of plum and cocoa powder in the middle and some black pepper on the finish. More tannin than I thought it was going to have. Melka wine doing really well right now.
