Valentine's Day 2018 ❤️💝
Just hitting the decanter now, inky red-black, a beauty.
The 2004 is 65% Zinfandel, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Merlot.
Nose still has a little alcohol to it, but it seems to be dissipating, otherwise really noting violets and dried red fruits. Palate has that wonderful mocha/chocolate aspect that seems to start showing in aged Zinfandel. Some tannins still exist in this tonight, so we'll see how it goes in the next hour or so and come back tomorrow. Generally, I am happy with its development over the years.
