Property was originally part of 1000 acre land grant from Lord Fairfax in 1716 to the family’s ancestors and has been passed down through generations since. A blend of 29% Merlot, 26%, Petit Verdot, 24% Cab Franc, & 21% Cab Sauv & aged for 10 months in American oak. Big aromas of dark fruit & spice. On the palate black currants with oak, sweet licorice & strong cinnamon spice. Dusty savory tannins, a bit rough, medium finish ending with spicy character. Ok, but pricey for East Coast Red. Tasting Sample!

2012 Paradise Springs 'Melange' Red blend from Virginia #VAwine. Blend of Merlot, Cab Sauv & Petit Verdot. Explosive dark fruit aromas of black cherry, plum, cassis and black raspberry. Hints of earth and black pepper following through a seamless and long, plush finish. Quite velvety. #wine #sommelier

Good. Heavy oak and has some pice, fun change of pace.

Strange listing for this since it's only 5% merlot. Good tartness makes it different.

Proof that Virginia wine is real, beautiful, and necessary. Dark, medium dry.
