Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel
This is a very nice Zinfandel from Dry Creek Valley.
Spicy and tangy with red and black fruits, oak, spices, peppercorn, chocolates, tobacco, wood and licorice.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry and fruity on the palate.
Lighter than I expected with a nice mouthfeel.

Nuanced. Perhaps the lightest bodied Zinfandel I’ve ever had. Gorgeous aromas of baked dark fruit tart with subtle floral notes of jasmine and gardenia. Delicious.

Intense nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, acetone, light oak, vanilla, licorice, green vegetables, asparagus, metals, spices and black pepper.
Medium plus in body, soft and elegant, with medium plus acidity and great looking legs.
Fruity on the palate and dry, with blackberries, figs, cherries, strawberries, cloves, licorice, toasted oak, cola, vanilla, spices and peppercorn.
Medium finish with soft tannins and spices.
A good quality Sonoma County Zinfandel, but I expected more bang out of it. I like my California Zinfandel to be big and powerful, and at this price range, it needs to make more of a statement.
Nonetheless, it is well balanced, smooth and elegant with a thin mouthfeel.
