Some black cherries, lots of sun dried tomatoes, some eucalyptus qualities with spices. Definitely herby on the nose. Some spices, a touch of heat with black cherries, minerals, some chalky notes with medium tannins & acid. Full bodied with some bigger tannins & herbs on the finish. Needs to open up as it's slightly unbalanced at this point.

Over ripe cherry cherry medicine at the front. Herbal floral aromas creepy from behind. Rubbed green leaf between the fingers. New world style. Nice wine. Good tannins and acid.

The '11 vintage of Barolo from Scavino is across the board delicious. The Monvigliero was the most elegant and refined of the bunch.
