All the pieces are there in a velvety wrapper of smooth tannins and built on a ripe core of black cherry. Saddle leather, black tea and balsamic strawberries showed up. Needs a few more years to come together but very nice.

Serious Barolo (100% Nebbiolo) from the Ginestra cru in Monforte d’Alba (Helvetian soils). Elegant, complex nose with aromas of tart red fruit (cherries), earthy notes, forest floor, pine needles. Medium-bodied. Soft tannins. Good acidity
