Light opaque slightly darker than a good rose. Beautiful aroma of roses and strawberries blows from the glass. Absolutely smooth and silken on the attack... with a long lingering caress as you swallow. Nose keeps changing with air...but single best Nebbiolo I've ever drunk... so this is what they mean. Delightful companion to an exceptional evening of Italian fine dining. Bravo for the wine-- and bravo for chef Mark Ladner.

A little flat for me, very surprised - especially compared to the previous barolo which was the same vintage but using modern methods- counter-intuitive.
