An opaque purple wine with oak and black fruit aromas mixed with hints of vanilla. Attack of sweet, creamy almost candied overripe plums. Evolves beyond this to reveal a slight spice such as a vague cinnamon or licorice. Drying tannins assert themselves in the mid-palate. Very long persistent finish. I like my Cab a bit more angular, less ripe with more acidity.

I had this at an industry tasting event, many great wines, but this was a standout for me! Bold, but not overpowering, warm rich dark fruit. Balanced, silky tannins, warm finish, nearly everything I'm looking for in a big red.
