As soon as I opened it the dark fruit was instantly noticed. I decanted for 4 hours & it was right on the money. Wish I had another bottle

Worst cork I have ever had: deteriorated into cork crumbles at first touch. Am a year past peak recommended date for this 2001 vintage, but it’s a poor first impression. First sip reveals this is past its prime, sad that this gift didn’t come with a warning label to drink immediately.
