One of the great things about Palmina is that they pull stuff from their cellar from time to time and offer them as part of wine club shipments. This took about 20-30min to open up (had some funky aromas initially which eventually blew off), but once it did it showed some great, older aromas of dried strawberries, hints of sour cherry, and old leather. Great acidity on the palate...and it went great with the AMAZING pork fried rice dish that Vanessa made us for dinner!

Mar 27th, 2020Terrific nebbiolo from Palmina. Nice pale garnet color, nose of dried strawberries and a hint of earth. Medium-bodied palate with great acidity and nice balance. Absolutely perfect with the pesto tortellini and Vanessa's awesome homemade pasta sauce. Italian night scores again!
