Very decent Sonoma cab, and honestly I haven't tried much from the Chalk Hill AVA. Kinda had the elegance and structure that RRV brings to pinot noir, but in cabernet. Lots of soft supple dark cherry and red currant notes, some bell pepper, dried herb.
Paired well with the applewood smoked tomahawk chops I made the other night perfectly.

An elegant Cabernet from Sonoma. Very soft tannin, medium plus acidity with perfumed dark fruits aromas. Although the abv is 14%, i didn’t feel the burning that some high alcohol level wine does. Outstanding considering the price.
