This was an unbelievably delicious surprise. Rich fruit purity, flint, blackberry compote. One of the best domestic Cab Francs I've had in years.

Well I felt I should not open this for a while but my impulse control is not always the best. But I had people to share with so what the heck. Blind tasting, if given this I really would not ever guess cab franc. That is a compliment for cab francs. This is so silky, so cherry rich with a hint of the ground I'd think some sort of California blend--I will give it that much-And not involving cab franc-- But the best idea of the taste of this wine you could linger on forever-- is a cross between walking under gnarly mulberry trees when I was young and cherries I've soaked in Cherry Heering PLUS, say, a scoop of soil. Nowhere do I see the gnarly green pepper notes I see in oh so many cab

May 21st, 2017Pairs well with Bob Marley on the turntable-green herbs/bell pepper on the nose. Big and dense with tannins giving it support. Front of the palate gives off this dusty chocolate flavor mixed with blackberry and spice. Mid palate and finish merge offering a spiced tinged finish with cream and graphite.
