Faro Nerello Blend
Mid Ruby Red. Earthy Herbal Leathery Savoury notes of medium weight. From the Sicilian Reds I’ve had in the last few days this was one of the better ones. Balsamic - finishes dry. None of the oxidative characters experienced in some of the other aged reds we’ve had. The reason it was a little more full bodied was the inclusion of a % of Nero d’Avola.

May 14th, 2022Great nose on opening, but definitely lost its mojo after about 40 minutes... not much acidity and really flattened out. Not sure if it was the vintage or bottle, but it was definitely unusual. At Roscioli in Rome a few nights ago.
