Pahlmeyer
Jayson North Coast Chardonnay
Monthly WTF wine group meet up.
Honeysuckle, mint, lanolin, and butterscotch on the nose. It’s got a bit of wet fur, old lemon and old popcorn on the palate. I’d be more inclined to drink these early but this was still solid.

Citrus notes with roasted almonds on the nose. Mineral-driven palate which quickens and becomes racy. Quite weighty and deftly balanced. Finishes creamy (due to the oak treatment), with almonds and flashes of honey. Pop n pour extravaganza.

May 2nd, 2018Canned pineapple syrup later becomes cut pineapple and tangerine with buttered cream cheese nose. Super viscous mouthfeel of honey soaked bamboo, baked apples and green pears. Lemon zest soup. Not a fan of these winemaker graffiti wines. But to each his or her own. All the terroir of Butteroak Hill. Which many attempt to climb with slippery results.

1 person found it helpfulJan 21st, 2015The second label for Pahlmeyer and they just added their nme to the front label. Rich tropical fruit peach and lemon drop candy with cream brûlée vanilla bean spice on the nose. A good punt of juicy tropical fruit candied lemon and a very rich texture, creamy and a nice touch of spice and fresh acidity. Finish 45+ excellent +
