We brought this and having it open for nearly 6 hours and then decanting it made a huge difference. Last time we had it we decanted it for an hour or so before having it and it was a bit harsh. This pup needs a lot of oxygen.

2 people found it helpfulAug 31st, 2014Opened Saturday and had last night it was nice. Nothing like it's big brother but it's fine. It's a bit too pricey for me and not a good value. Pahlmeyer though is spectacular,and it enhances is too drop off to the Jayson. Still enjoyed it.

Held up nicely. Cork disintegrated upon opening but no issues at all. Well rounded and velvety finish.

Regardless of the vintage, Jayson's (Pahlmeyer) Red Table wine is consistently 1 of the best valued Bordeaux blends from Napa. The only reason it is not a 10 is I know how amazing their flagship Pahlmeyer Proprietary Red is. Massive forward fruit followed by a bouquet of delicious syrup than ends as gracefully as it starts. This wine will impress all your Cabernet loving friends, but won't make you limp away from your wallet. Find and try it! Cheers!!

Jul 2nd, 20152009 vintage. Great juice! Extremely complex with nose dominated by the Cabernet and up front flavor of cranberry on the palette. No tannins whatsoever, completely smooth but short finish.
