Pacina
Castelnuovo Berardenga Sangiovese
Cherry cola, roasted plum, white pepper, eucalyptus, pine needles, cedar, graphite, iron, olives, bell pepper. Perfect acid/rough velvet tannin balance, full bodied, lush juicy texture, long complex herbal/smoky finish. A balance between rustic and elegant, drinking beautifully now, though its cellaring potential is worth exploring.

Sometimes I ask myself what Sangiovese wines are like, and I want to say that smelling a wine from Chianti or Montalcino or Montepulciano is like taking freshly tilled soil in your hands.

May 15th, 2015Great representation of a bloody wine! This wine is a great companion to food or just alone. Dark cherry, blackberry, leather, puckery and juicy.
