Dark red. Pungent, floral- and spice-accented aromas of dark berries and incense are lifted by a smoky mineral quality. Sappy and broad on the palate, offering gently sweet blackberry and cherry cola flavors and a touch of peppery spices. The floral and smoke notes come back strong on the powerful finish, which clings with good tenacity and chewy, slow-mounting tannins. This brawny Pinot benefits greatly from aeration. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, Dec 2016)

A great wine from what I consider to be a very underrated producer. Peppery Black Cherry, Blackberry, Root Beer, Black Licorice notes on the silky mid-pallet. The buttery finish shows notes of chocolate, almonds, rosemary and violets. This wine is extremely complex. A BIG brawny and brambly Pinot that is made from three different Pinot Noir clones. There is a whole lot going on here. Outstanding!

Incredibly drinkable, especially with food! Earthy, soft tannins.

Surprisingly it's ready to drink. You can tell it was a hot year from first sip. Light fruit on the palate. Alcohol burns on the nose. Great bottle of wine.
