This is a deep and extracted Pinot that shows gobs of dark plum and black cherry fruit. The acid is very good for a 2012 wine. Did not really move me as I was looking for more nuance, but it started to sing when paired with bison meatballs with a spicy gochujang apricot glaze. The ginger in the meatballs really brought out the spice in the wine.

The great 2005 vintage from the Willamette Valley. From the Merriman, Kalita and Lenné Vineyards. Color a little brown, but fruit not fading. Sassafras on the nose. Still kicking.

A delicious Oregon Pinot that's just a dandy RIGHT now. Wild berry fruit with hints of forest floor, ground coffee, smoke and maybe a little Aunt Jemina
