Ex Umbris Columbia Valley Syrah
The body makes it seem overly serious, then up pops caramelised fruit with a hint of spice. Perfect for half a glass, but otherwise a little heavy for me.

Oct 21st, 2017Blue and black fruits abound. Juicy and fleshy but lacking acidity to keep it interesting. Medium finish. Found it too sweet for my taste but, worth a shot.

Jun 30th, 2017Really funky aroma, like Welch’s grape juice, earth, cigarette smoke, & socks. Tangy, funky front. Notes of underripe red fruit, currant, blackberry, & black cherry. Unsweet baking chocolate & sticks on the finish. Grippy & inky. Medium acidity. Medium tannin. Weird... think it might actually be a little corked.
