Smooth raspberry, dusted cocoa, blueberry, & red currant throughout the palate. Leathery with subtle smoke. More subdued than I remember. The alcohol hides well; I never would’ve guessed it was 16.1% ABV. Enjoyable sipper. — 2 years ago
Plum, mashed cherries, subtle green bell pepper, & cocoa on the nose. Amazing wine. Pure cherry cordial, cocoa, grippy raspberry pie, & boysenberry jam. This is delicious. I prefer it in a tighter glass, as it brings out the tannic backbone & the fruit a bit more. — 2 years ago
This is a delightful wine! Medium-minus body, ripe fruit, low acid, & easy to drink. Notes of red fruit juice, purple fruit, smooth raisin, bread pudding, & very subtle clove. Fruit-forward. Port without the cloying sweetness or sticky, viscous body. — 10 months ago
Rustic, earthy, and a bit of funk. Juicy, yet tannic and dusty. Notes of cranberry, raspberry, & plum. Medium-minus acidity. — a year ago
Really enjoyable Chenin Blanc. Sort of a midrange between the honeyed Vouvray Chenin and the funky, wooly Chenins. Honeysuckle, candied lemon, & b.o. on the nose. Crisp, acidic, silky, & lightly sweet. Easy to drink with an enjoyable finish. — 2 years ago
Not much on the nose; maybe subtle ripe raspberry. Beautiful rust color. Leathery notes of cranberry, cherry, & raspberry, but the fruit doesn’t overpower. Subtle tobacco. Smooth, rustic wine. Beautiful Pinot Noir. — 2 years ago
Creamy notes of golden apple, buttered bread, & vanilla on the nose. Buttery like a Chardonnay up front. Acid & green notes on the mid-palate—kiwi, green grass, green apple, & pear. Crisp, honeyed apple finish with notes of honeysuckle, white flower, caramel, & vanilla custard. Unique wine, and pairs beautifully with my spicy Massaman curry. — 10 months ago
My least favorite of the 8 Years so far. This one is hot, almost sharp. It’s jammy, but has such a bite too it. Notes of blueberry, plum, & raspberry with a sharp dark chocolate finish. Tannins linger on the finish. — 2 years ago
My least favorite so far of the Michael David wines. Alcohol and currant on the nose. Thin, almost flat, notes of red currant, cherry pie, raspberry jam, & plum. Sort of fruit juice-y. Really does fall flat, which is disappointing, but it’ll do for a wine of this price point. — 2 years ago

Holy cow, this is an exceptional wine. Inky color with hints of rust and electric pink in the rim. Soft aroma of raspberry tart, strawberry jam, red cherry, red currant, tobacco, & subtle violet. Pure silk on the palate, with a velvety grip on the finish. Notes of stewed plum, jammy red fruit, chocolate, subtle baking spice, and purple candy. Absolutely beautiful wine. Lovely to sip, but big enough to stand up to a hearty protein. Thank you, Ashley! — 8 months ago
