Drank in pairs, this one with the 05. One of the crowd pleasers I had it at third best. Darker fruits, some sweetness, the cab franc comes through, fuller than the 05.

Well integrates bright red cherry flavors with ample but not over the top oak. It worked well. Very well balanced.

Mar 11th, 2016This was my favorite of the two wines last night, probably because of its age. Was more interesting and balanced, with a great mix of silky tannin, fruit (but not jammy), and earthy. A great wine.
