06' Outpost True. Decant this wine for its full potential. After decanting this for some time ,you can smell this from 2/3 inches from the glass. Laser focused !The nose is full of Black berries & violet notes. It's definitely a big boy wine. An abundance of black fruits on the palate. Blue fruits? The complexity of the wine is not that of the 07 or 10. I believe this particular wine put Outpost on the map to stay! Looking forward to trying the 12/13's. TRB made this from 100% new oak. It's got another 15+ years. If you're looking for a Outpost True you can pop and enjoy right away...recommend highly the 2008's

Beautiful wine. Deep blue/black color with a very expressive nose. After an hour decant, a very nicely balanced wine with super soft tannins. Long nuanced finish. This wine has a lot of bottle life left but no need to wait as it is drinking beautifully today!

Back home in SD for a Labor Day BBQ and this was an easy pull for ribeye. Velvet tannins overlay a focused dark blue/purple fruit array with tons of spice box and mocha, and the finish is endless. TRB definitely has skills with respect to Cab.

Love the color- jet black. I think my expectations were a little high as I had this amazing late 90's Zin from them a few months ago that was better than this. That said super dense fruit, plenty of tannin left and a great mouthfeel. Really good! Revising up .2 after being open for 3 hours. Some mint and vanilla coming out. Should have waited a bit for it to open...
