The King of the Mountain Zinfandels! This is what we trekked up that long winding road to find! I have been on a two year Zinfandel journey, and I think that journey has reached a climax...or I have! I have known Outpost's Zinfandel before, but this vintage is a whole new experience. Deep inky stain your teeth purple color. The red rocky soil and slow mountain growth concentrating the blackberry fruit to richness. Herbs and spices on the palette and a full bodied beautiful finish. Get it while you can! Soon to be sold out. A keeper for years or ready to be enjoyed now. (I know it says 2012 on the bottle, but we were tasting the 2014)

Menthol and black, smoky nose. Rich pipe tobacco leaf, stony-earthy core. Soft, persistent tannins. Took an hour to come out and play. Outstanding zin, 5+ yrs to peak.
