Waitaki Valley is a newer cooler viticultural site south of Central Otago. My first wine from here. Still with the same aromatic profile - rhubarb notes. Not dissimilar to Otago- just a little leaner.

Finest pinot noir I have ever had. Compares to high end burgundy with ripe plum, and soft dried herbs of sage and thyme. Elegant structure with saline minerality from limestone soils. Hands down best wine in nz that I have tried
