I am a big fan of David Swift Phinney wines. In 1998 David founded Orin Swift Cellars; Orin is his father’s middle name and Swift is his mother’s maiden name. Aged 10 mos in French oak, 42% new, Ruby with complex aromas of fresh fruits, floral and herb spice, nice mouthfeel. On the palate flavors of raspberry and cherry with cacao and hints of pepper spice. Rich full chewy tannins, well balanced on long finish ending with fruit and earthy spice.

Dec 3rd, 2021On sale from $50 to $40. High abv and initially comes in hot (as expected) but with about a hour after opening it began to settle down. Cranberry, strawberry, mushrooms, and a slight Smokey note. I like it but at this price point, it is probably a pass for me.

Dec 15th, 2021This is a big Pinot Noir. Pure alcohol & raspberry jam on the nose. Lush, jammy notes of raspberry, boysenberry, dark cherry, red currant, black currant, & subtle blueberry. Jam and juice throughout, with a grippy middle, light cassis, smooth chocolate, and a soft oak finish. Medium-minus acidity. Juice bomb.
