I just love everything David Swift Phinney produces. In 1998 David founded Orin Swift Cellars; Orin is his father’s middle name and Swift is his mother’s maiden name. Aged for 10 mos in French oak (30%new), Ruby with complex aromas of fresh fruits, floral and spice. On the palate flavors of fresh raspberry and cherry with cacao and hints of pepper spice. Rich full tannins, lingering ending with fresh fruit, well balanced with fruit, spice and acidity. Nice!

This wine should not exist. Stop 🛑 it. Stop 🛑 it. Stop 🛑 it. If you want a hefty Syrah, buy a hefty Syrah. If you like the Pinot Noir varietal, don’t buy this. I’m sure it will be up to 100,000 Cases in 2019 as well. #bittertruth

Big taste for a Pinot; black currant, raspberry, strawberry, tobacco, with a slight hint of leather. Brioche lingering with a smooth velvet finish. Love it.
