Dark inky in color with a short purple rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, sweet figs, raisins, vanilla, sweet raspberries, smoke, chocolates, mocha, peppercorn, earth, graphites, spices, leather and tobacco.

Full bodied, bold and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and extremely fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, sweet cherries, figs, raisins, vanilla, oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, coke, earth and dark coffee.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a great Cabernet Sauvignon based, Bordeaux blend, from the house of Orin Swift.

This Napa Valley red blend is rich and extracted with a great mouthfeel and nice complexity. Big bold and beautiful.

This 6 year old is drinking very nicely now and will be good in the next 5 years.

Good right out of the bottle and better as it opens up and shows some tannins. Complexity comes in after 3 hours of airtime.

Robert Parker 95 points.

This great vintage shows lots of chocolate notes. Delicious and yummy.

Good by itself, No need for food.

Thank you Barry for sharing this delicious wine with me.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Aged for 16 months in French oak barrels (40% new).

15.1% alcohol by volume.

95 points.

$75.

Solid juice, nose is absolutely beautiful but I felt my expectations never materialized on the palate the way I wanted. Still, solid bottle from a nice producer.

This wine rocks. Though this is usually one of my two favorite Orin Swift wines (w/ Palermo), I was very pleasantly surprised by the 2013 Papillon. I get mint and espresso and oak followed by dark fruit and a little chocolate. And if you know anything about me, I pretty much love all of those notes, so it is no surprise that I love this wine. Surprisingly approachable right now, or drink over next couple years.

WOW! Needs a good 45 minutes to breathe.,opens up with gobs of black fruits. Great texture and body. Really expressive with that little time I left in my glass. I find this 2013 to be way Superior to the 2012! Go figure! Orin Swift Papillon does it again, Dave P. You are the Man! Awesome , CB says a solid 95
