My last ‘15, blend of Petite Sirah, Syrah & Grenache, aged for 10 months on French oak (40% new). Deep Ruby, aromas of black fruits, cedar and sweet spice. On the palate, ripe plums, jammy blueberries and sweet cherry with slight oak and vanilla spice, pours like syrup. Long finish, allowing soft tannins to open in your mouth. Good structure, great mouthfeel, ending with pure fruit and dash of minerality, drinks well now. Produced with 12 different labels. Wow!

Sep 8th, 2019I am guessing that I got a bottle that was effected by poor storage. It was upright in the liquor store behind all of the 2016 vintages. There is an odd astringent bitter taste on the front end and is pretty muted on the nose. I bought this today, so it’s probably been stored up right for over a year. There is some fruit but it is tough to notice with all the bitterness. Damn shame. Proper wine storage is important!

Powerful and smooth, killer nose. I suspect a few cellar years will put this concentrated and balanced beauty in an even better place. Awesome steak wine.
