Interesting new try! Apricot and pear notes with light, balanced finish. Reminded me of rosé meeting mead.

You’re going to want to open this bottle up for awhile before you enjoy it. It’s crisp and pops in your mouth and has pear and apricot flavors.

Doing a tasting at our wine club, The Nightshift, with the theme “Ancient Vines.” Starting off here to understand Georgian wines better. Hopefully a good beginning…

(Draft of the novel in the background)

Aromas of honeysuckle, peaches, apricot, dried fruits, unfiltered honey.

I don’t know what the ratings are smoking. Maybe people are biased towards Eurocentric/American winemaking traditions we’re used to seeing in the marketplace.

With a winemaking tradition 8,000 years old that claims to be the birthplace of wine, this is as old world as you’re going to get.

Honeyed yams and sweet potato, dry like the tartness of an unripe peach, tea like qualities.

I think this is lovely (especially for a tasting). It’s going to stack up nicely with some fun cheeses. Excited.

Tasty, and somehow dry and also tastes like apple juice at the same time. I don’t love it, but I definitely like it.

Blend of 2 heritage Georgian varieties aged in amphora with a month of skin contact .
Amber in color. Floral nose. Bitter apricot notes. Short but ok with food. Wouldn’t search for it.

Honey, little bit floral on the nose. Dry, not quite as dynamic as I like in an orange wine. Tannic, tangerine flavors but it feels a little disappointing, like the inside of the tangerine is a little dried and not us lush. It feels a little underwhelming to me as a whole.

Interesting. Not much flavor but nice compliment to the overly salty zaatar appetizer we had. Bar and garden wine club. Wouldn’t rush to repurchase but happy to keep drinking.

Light tannin. Apricot. Pineapple. Enjoyed it with some Indian curry.
