This was not what I was expecting. I mean, I don’t know what I was expecting, but it wasn’t this. It’s Chilean cinsault. Weird. So I’m intrigued and now I have to focus. Here’s my take: grapefruit, orange, pineapple? and other tart fruity flavors that I’d prefer to wake up with, rather than go to sleep behind. Has a lighter body quality and low level spice, requires some concentration and musing but those flavor combos don’t lend itself to deep analysis.

Like a more rustic Poulsard, with the earthiness of a Cab Franc and the buoyancy of a Gamay. Refreshingly light with just enough of a tannic grip.
