Structured, shut down right now, needed some serious air to get going. Love the sinew and chewiness that it had, wish I could revisit at 15

I wish more Zinfandel could be made like this. While this is just a baby, it’s already delivering so much pleasure. Very primary with bright red fruits and spices. Good acid. Long finish. A few years in the cellar will do these wonders and there’s no reason to doubt the Bedrock bottle will have the ability to age gracefully for well over a decade. Such an exciting project from Joel Patterson and looking forward to trying more!!

Brambly black fruits, sweet oak, intense and lush yet with acidity to balance. Can’t wait to taste a bottle with more age 👌

2015. Young. Intense. Complex. Ready to age more than a few more years. Can't recall when I last had a Zinfandel with this much gravity, elegance, and oomph. If I had a dollar for every time I said wow tonight, I could buy another bottle of this. Joel Peterson and his son Morgan Twain-Peterson know their way around this grape. Wow.

Much more interesting and tasty than your typical Zinfandel. Starts with spices, moves to deeper red fruits, lingering finish. There's actually some tannin here and with its acidity could age nicely. Actually refreshing at this lower abv.

Lovely effort for Joel Peterson and his son Morgan's new project. Vibrant red fruits evolve over a plush, rich palate. Should only get better with more time in the bottle.

Amazing zin. Reminds me of early 1990s Old Hill. Glad I bought my allocation!

Did a sort of father/son tasting with these two ‘16 Bedrock wines. Despite the Bedrock heritage having less zin for sure (couldn’t find percentages on the o & f but it’s listed as a zin), and subtle differences in winemaking, these were fairly similar. Not sure what they were like when young, but they were claret style and not showing a ton of fruit in comparison to a firm structure. These may be in an in between phase. I’d hold for a bit.
