Olivier Leflaive
Les Narvaux Meursault Chardonnay
Lovely, primary fruit; a little secondary coming through. Nougat; oak (but the right sort); mild butterscotch, but not overdone.

Oct 14th, 2013Session 2 of Wine Essentials One at the Institute of Culinary Education Center for Wine Studies.
A white Burgundy from the southern area of the Côte d’Or. Made from Chardonnay from two vineyards by an esteemed producer. Medium-high viscosity and a cloudy yellow color. Ripeness is evident here. Spicy, brown butter on the nose, with a toasty bouquet that denotes oak. Ripe stone fruit, pear, and ripe apples are also present on the nose. Woodsy, buttery and slightly bitter flavors of baked lemon and popcorn. Exquisite.
