It's so interesting to try older wines to see what age really does to them (and the affect of good/bad storage over the years). I picked up this 2003 Olive Farm Shiraz last year and I must say for a 12 year old vino it's done pretty well. I would say it's due to retire so if you have any then it's time to drink up and replace it with some newer OFW in the cellar.

On the eye it's virtually a browny maple syrup colour. Red wines tend to dull and go a brown colour when in their senior years. It has quite intense aromas of coffee beans and a wild berry perfume. The palate is rather jammy and smooth with hints of cloves and baking spice. An oldie but a goodie!
