In fact I'm heading along to Olive Farm in the Swan Valley tomorrow night for their new release wine and cheese 🧀 night so it seems fitting to post my note about tasting the 2015 Merlot today!
Garnet colour on the eye with a rather earthy-forestry type nose with hints of black Jellybeans and vanilla. In the mouth it's also rather savoury with quite a full-bodied structure brimming with flavours of cherries 🍒 & plums. When teamed this vino up with the Amphora – 65% Dark Chocolate which seemed to really bring out the fruit and tannins in the wine. Another successful wine and Cuvée Choc match ✅
