Sardegna Cannonau

Great value. Light on its feet for Cannonau.

Hi Sardegna aka Sardinia how are you making such marvelous SUSTAINABLE AND MINIMALLY MESSED WITH Grenache aka Cannonau wines and still skimming under the radar? Earth like heck. Herbs like hell. Swimming in raspberry juice. What a pool to swim in.

Spicy tannic finish dark cherry mouthfeel, violet nose. Tasty

Average. Merely correct and not very memorable.

This wasn’t revealing anything upon opening but has become very enjoyable with some air. Translucent ruby, this is lighter and more delicate than you imagine it will be. Classic old world Grenache nose with cracked black pepper, wet concrete, and dusty red fruit which translate very nicely to the palate. Pretty, pretty good.

Smells initially like sticky cheese but pleasant to drink

Dried salted prunes on the nose and palate. Juicy and easy on the palate. A tinge of alcohol heat on the finish.

This wine has an abundance of cherry, stewed plum and red currant smells and flavors. Medium body and tannins with low acidity. Reminiscent of cough syrup.

Bit of a woodsy nose, black currant. Acid was more pronounced on the first glass than the last. Not showy, a great value food friendly wine - stands up to spice well.

Nice. Great smell. Slight bite at the end in the back of the throat.
