Nothing like quality Chenin blanc to go with a Saturday bbq of Hawaiian grilled chicken etc. What a delight: vibrant marigolds & white flowers on nose; fennel, lychee, & mineral on palate. Medium Viscosity, somewhere btw Chidaine & Huet. Great juice.

Classically styled Chenin drinking great at 5 years. Apples, lemon oil, and a faintly oxidative finish. (maybe a skosh of VA)

Was blinded with this and guessed 2015 Savienierres. The nose alone had Chenin written all over it. Great stuff that can age another half decade at least. One of my favorite producers and my first time trying this wine.

Nascent complexity on the nose. Fascinating spicy exotic citrus. A mealy sake like quality. Thrilling in its cool, tart, flinty minerality, and taut, almost chewy texture. But still a baby; I won’t touch the next bottle for 5 years.

Vibrant, blistering and energetic. Super fresh. No malo for sure. What a wonderful wine drinking so very well at a ripe old age!

The color was light and straw colored. Hardly looked like a 23 yr old wine. Fresh and delicate.

Deliciously complex. A bit of a burnt toast/hair whiff but a little swirling coaxes out wax and honeyed fruit.

Fascinating wine, distinct aroma of fresh mushrooms, very unusual in a white, this would be an interesting one to play with wine pairings, something that demands high acid with this extreme earthiness, maybe escargot? Or cassoulet? Either way, special to encounter a wine with such a distinct personality.

Blistering acidity. So much so that I dunked a couple Sour Patch Kids in it. Like licking a battery.
