Expression de Terroir Safres Châteauneuf-du-Pape Grenache Blend

Still very young and needs time, this Chateauneuf is vey close, full of wood and tight. It has a deep purple color, nose of black fruits, cherries, black current, spices, smoked barique, full body, full of firm tannins, very tight, dust and smoke, good acidity and a long dry finish. Needs more time to evolve. My score 88, drink 2017-2027

2012: vibrant red fruit due to pure Grenache. Juicy, light spice. Very pure. Not full, medium, soft, smooth, red cherry, plum, not meaty, but very fresh. Elegant for Grenache.

Light burgundy in color, aroma of leather and tobacco, flavor of red fruits, smooth, and velvety. Would be great with pork or game.
