Has the old soul ‘tree’ vine on the embossed label. Always a winner with a tree. Dark as night in the glass. Smells like blackberry jam and warm soils. Maybe some fresh cut cedar shakes in the sun. Flavors are big, but in balance. Fruit (berries and plums), but plenty of tannin and character in there too. This is a nice little Lodi red with some ummph, but enough other stuff to make it interesting.
