Recently disgorged 1992, the first commercial vintage of Nyetimber and one for the top wines from the NEWTS dinner last night. Fine brioche and apples, with poised mousse and a very long finish; acidity balanced with faint hint of sweetness (don't know the dose age but expect 7-8g). Very good indeed... Perhaps it's time to reassess my position on English sparkling wine?

It's not often a wine has more acidity than champagne, but here's one. Could do with some more sugar to balance that acidity, but there are still lovely complex aromas of apples, pears, and brioche.
