Turns out, I like Chardonnays. I had it paired with scallops crudo. I perfect combination. It you think you don't like Chardonnays, try ones outside of the U.S. They are generally smoother and crisper than the American ones I've tried. This 2012 vintage of Nugan Chardonnay was delicious. It was fresh and a perfect beginning to a delicious meal.

Very impressive & delicious / over delivered for price $12! plenty of richness here even though I believe it has not seen [much] oak (perhaps neutral?), zippy zesty lemon curd, yellow apple, yellow pear, pineapple, vanilla, some sort of mild exotic [subtle] spice - honeyed and decadent for the style. Balanced and delightful thru finish - go find some!

Unoaked Chardonnay. Smells of sweet green fruit. Tastes of lemon, green apple, and pear. Lots of Vanilla/pineapple at the finish, especially as warming. Crazy good for this price!
