This Merlot as 9% cabernet sauvignon added to blend. Dark Ruby with ripe berry fruit and herb spice aromas. On the palate flavors of ripe cherry and blackberry with leather and cacao notes. Dusty tannins, medium finish ending a little spicy. Will stand up to food, drink now no aging benefit.

Dark garnet red. Bodacious nose of plummy blueberry. Echoed on the full-bodied palate with blackberry and light vanilla. Velvety (medium minus) tannins surround a core of juicy medium acidity from entry to medium-long finish. Wonderfully plush Merlot that reflects what Columbia Valley is all about. Great as a sipper bit shines with a meal. Filet or burgers are naturals, but try it with -- and in -- a classic beef stew! Drink now through 2024.

I didn’t get any opportunity to drink this but my wife very much enjoyed this as a casual, everyday Merlot. Will be getting this again.
