Second time with this one. Is it still a 9.3? Still a cool label. Still smells heady and luscious. Flavors are great. Dry, fruit driven, plenty of bite from tannins. At this price it’s a outright steal of a wine. Aging well in its screw-top too. This winery has multiple labels at the grocery outlet and they are all well made delicious wines.

Sep 16th, 2022Dark maroon to deep crimson. Smells rich. Like cherry chocolate and mocha. Hint of candied berries or true maraschino cherries. Flavors are interesting. Cherry pits and dark chocolate. Smoke and anise. Sage. Chalk. Rubber bands. Rich and full. Sensuous. This is complex and mature Merlot for the French wine aficionado. Just a bit of CA style in the mix too.
