The 2015 is drinking better after some additional time in bottle. Since I recently opened some Meo-Camuzet Burgundies, I wanted to compare while they were fresh in my mind. This wine reminds me of a New World version of Meo’s village Nuit-St-George. It’s slightly riper in some ways, simpler in structure, and doesn’t have much of that Old World tangy/sour/mineral finish. Cost is sorta close (Meo a little more in most markets), so for me the Meo wins by a SLIGHT margin, but this is oh-so-close. The N-J will likely be preferred by most American palettes.
