Nicolas Champagneux
Les Grandes Places Côte-Rôtie Syrah
Nose : Hand crushed wild blackberries. Pencil lead. Warm (not in a hot way) - caresses the nose.
Palate : whoa. Dense blackberry extract but not overdone. A hint of vanilla. Blackberry licorice. Terrific texture. Silky.
Finish is gods blackberry licorice. Long. So persistent on the palate it’s almost sticky but in a nice way.
On open a 9.4. Let’s see how it goes.
As this opens the balance and freshness become more extraordinary. This is a 9.4 today but will be much better in 5-10 years.
An hour in the fruit is much sexier and more giving. Very sexy. Luscious.
Bought from fass selections.
