A little wake up call at 10am. Gorgeous Howell Mountain fruit. Beautiful tannins. Big mouthfeel. This wine is aging beautifully.

This cellared well. So far this year (2020) I have been drinking mainly 2006-2008. All have faired wonderfully in my LeCache Credenza.

Wine poured dark to the glass. Nose of black and blue fruit. Entry still quite youthful with sweeter fruit influence. Blackberry, blueberry, baking spices. Hint of black cherry cola in the middle. Tannin has definitely started to completely integrate here. Still with some toasted oak tannin on the finish. Really nice wine and drinking right in the perfect pkace although a few more years could improve this ever so slightly. Not going to get appreciably better in bottle IMO.

Deep blackberry nose, still tasted young . Smooth and velvety, long long finish

Same vintage as the Carpenter - but this one is a stunner! Superbly balanced and some powerful blackberry back notes. This was great with our 2.5"" thick pan seared beef fillets. Sorry to see the bottle empty. Great wine.

Been sitting on this for a long time, and definitely worth the wait. Little sharp upon opening but blossomed into a rich, round, full body with decanting. Relaxed, not an in your face cab. Notes of black olive, walnut. Sad to see it gone.
