This is another NEW wine for 2016 "Kenefick Ranch." I don't know if Delectable can fix this yet. On the nose, dark muted currants, black licorice, loamy soils, black berries, blueberries, plums, vanilla, dark chocolate and caramel. M+ sticky tannins...it's a big wine. Dark currants, good spice, black licorice, baking spices, blackberries, blueberries, olallieberries, huckleberries, dark cherries, strawberry preserves, loamy soils, crushed rocks, dry stones, leather, star anise, tarry notes, dry stems, liquid red florals, black cherry licorice/cola, volcanic minerals. The finish is; rich, lush, juicy, round and ripe fruits with tannins that soften in the long finish. Photos of the use of a barrel tap device and people finishing up at the barista station.

Dec 9th, 2023Thick and dark. Tasting notes cigar box and lead pencil shavings. I am not able to identify those. But definitely chewy. I love this because after this bottle is finished there will be no need to open another bottle. Taking a long time to drink this. Savoring every sip. Heavy and enjoyable. This is why I prefer red wine.

Same comments as before. But now it’s just about a pnp. Big cab, nice medium strong tannins and juicy finish. Fruit is ripe, minerality, earthiness is well structured. Black licorice, chocolate, caramel all present. Drinking really well now after 30 minutes.

Dec 2nd, 2021Drinking the 2017 in 2021. Nose is rich with blackberry and blueberry. Lighter on the palate, with hints s of blackberry, strawberry and ripe fruit. Light and smooth with very low tannins. Oaks and a light earthy finish. Very nice wine. Wish I had a few bottles to set aside for about five years.

Oct 31st, 2021This is a really nice wine, one of the better N&N cabs. Luscious black and blue fruit. Bit of black cherry as well. Licorice, soil, strong tannins but mellowing out. Nice dense finish. Really strong cab. Lovely!

Full body, dry, prominent tannins, smooth with loads of black fruits. Excellent!
