Very full bodied and high acidity. It is almost hard to imagine this wine without a good meal. Definitely needs to be paired with heavy rarer meats. I liked it OK, a little over bearing on the palatte and a little too sour. Not a good balance in flavor imo

My kind of merlot: dark fruit and savory dried herbs/earth, with fine tannins and texture. Drinking well now, but will only improve with cellaring.

Last had a year ago. Consistent tasting notes. Cherry and floral notes, with Earl Grey tea and crushed rock. Medium-bodied, finishes thin. Missing the structure of past vintages but was a tough year.
